Linda Salzman Sagan

Linda Salzman (born July 16, 1940) is an artist and writer, who created the artwork for the plaque on the Pioneer spacecraft〔( a newspaper article written in ''The Spokesman Review'' published : Feb 24, 1972 ) retrieved 18:50, 8th of July 2010〕 and coproduced the Voyager Golden Record.〔( from an critical essay- Moss, Alexandra (author), published : November 1, 2003 located within ''highbeam research.com'' ) retrieved 18:52, 8th of July 2010〕
She co-authored the book ''Murmurs of Earth'' with her husband, astronomer Carl Sagan, whom she married on April 6, 1968; the marriage lasted until their divorce in 1981.〔Head, Tom (ed.) (Conversations with Carl Sagan ), pp. xxii, xiv (University Press of Mississippi 2006) (ISBN 978-1578067367)〕 She also directed plays for the Central Casting Theater in Ithaca, New York and for writing episodes of television shows such as ''Knots Landing'' and ''General Hospital''.
Salzman is the mother of author and screenwriter Nick Sagan.〔
